Explosion on Monday rocked the University of Maiduguri .
Although details are sketchy at the time of this report, but it was gathered that a professor , Aliyu Mani, of the faculty of veterinary medicine was killed in the blast .
Confirming the incident , the spokesman of the police in Borno State, Victor Isuku said, “ Yes , I can confirm there was an explosion within the premises of University of Maiduguri during the early morning prayers by Muslim faithfuls , details is still been awaited .
However the Commissioner of Police, CP Damian Chukwu , has mobilized his men to the scene for on on the spot assessment of situation there.”
