Meet Beautiful Female Graduate who is a Professional Shoe Maker in Benue.

The first among five children, Faith was born to humble parents who lived in the North-bank area of River Benue in Makurdi. Her father was a shoemaker and her mother a petty trader. Like many other children her age, Faith began to hawk at eight years. At the close of each school day, little Faith would go to her mother in the market where she would pull off her school uniform and melt into the market to hawk. At night, she hawked sachet water around the neighborhood.

In 2014, Faith began to save for her university education. She sold okpa for her mother early in the day and proceeded to learn shoemaking in the afternoon. This push for something more brought into existence her personal brand – Oyita Faith Shoes and Bags Collection 

As a 16-year-old teenager, the lady resolved to learn shoemaking after coming to the realisation that hawking does not hold a future for her. 

In 2015, faith got admission into the university to study English. The 23-year-old graduated in 2019 with second-class upper-division from the English department at the Benue State University.

In a BBC News Pidgin interview, Faith said when she approached the person who was going to teach her, the cobbler thought she was unserious. The lady stated that due to the poor background that she came from, she had to be a shoemaker for one year to save for her education. 

The professional shoemaker revealed that her hope is to one day own a shoemaking university where people can come to and learn the art.

Faith, who is currently one of the pastors at the New Nation Missionary Church, Makurdi and also owns her shop where she does her business train people in her field.
